Getting started

How do I switch my prescriptions to Push Pharmacy?

Fill in our short sign-up form. A member of our team will contact you to talk through your medicines and arrange your first delivery.

You can also choose us as your nominated pharmacy yourself in the NHS App, or ask your GP surgery to change it for you.

Choosing a nominated pharmacy is optional, you can change it at any time, and you don't need a computer to do it. Just call us or your GP surgery.

Who can use Push Pharmacy?

Anyone registered with a GP practice in England can use our NHS services. We're an online pharmacy, so we provide our services by phone, video call, online and by delivery. We don't see people at our premises.

Do I keep my GP?

Yes. Nothing changes with your GP surgery. We just receive your prescriptions, dispense them and deliver them to you.

Can I sign up for someone else?

Yes, with their agreement. You can fill in the sign-up form for a family member or someone you care for; there's a section on the form for your own details. We'll need their permission before we talk to you about their medicines.

Your prescriptions

My GP surgery doesn't let pharmacies order my repeats. Can you still help?

Yes. Some surgeries don't allow pharmacies to order on your behalf. If that's the case, we can still remind you when your prescription is due. Order it from your surgery as usual and we'll deliver your medicines to you.

What is electronic repeat dispensing?

Your GP approves a batch of repeat prescriptions in one go, for up to 12 months, and we dispense each one when it's due, so nobody has to ask the surgery each time. Ask your GP surgery whether it's right for you. More about electronic repeat dispensing.

What happens if a medicine is out of stock?

We'll contact you to talk it through. We may suggest you speak to your GP surgery, or, if you'd like, we'll contact the surgery for you about a suitable alternative.

I've run out of my medicine. What should I do?

Call us on 020 3105 6252 during our opening hours and we'll help. If we're closed, or you need your medicine today, use NHS 111 online or call 111. They can arrange an urgent supply from a pharmacy near you.

Can you put my medicines in weekly packs (dosette boxes)?

Yes, where it's right for you. Not every medicine can go in a pack, so our pharmacist will check first. Call us to talk it through.

I've just come out of hospital and my medicines have changed. What happens?

The hospital may send us details of the changes. We'll check that your next prescriptions match them and talk you through anything that's different. You can also call us. More about support after a hospital stay.

Can I have a chaperone during a video call?

Yes. We'll ask when we arrange your call, and you can ask at any time, including during the call. A trained member of our team will join, and you'll be able to see them on screen. We never ask to see intimate areas on camera. See our chaperone policy.

Can I speak to a pharmacist?

Yes. Call us during our opening hours, or ask for a video call. Our pharmacists can help with questions about your medicines, side effects and minor illnesses.

Paying

Do I have to pay for delivery?

No, delivery is free. You'll pay the standard NHS prescription charge for each item unless you're entitled to free prescriptions, just as you would at any pharmacy.

Do I have to pay for my prescriptions?

NHS prescriptions in England cost £9.90 per item (2026 to 2027), but many people get them free, for example if you're 60 or over, under 16, pregnant or have had a baby in the last year, or have certain medical conditions or benefits.

Check if you can get free prescriptions on the NHS website. If you do, tell us why when we first speak to you.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer (our preferred way), using a secure payment link we send you, or by card over the phone.

If you ever get a message saying our bank details have changed, don't pay. Call us on 020 3105 6252 to check first. We'll never ask for your card details by email, text or WhatsApp.

Can I save money on prescription charges?

If you pay for more than 3 items in 3 months, or more than 11 items in 12 months, a prescription prepayment certificate (PPC) could save you money. There's also one for certain HRT medicines. More about prescription costs.

Delivery

How are my items delivered?

Most medicines are sent by Royal Mail in plain, discreet packaging. In some areas we can deliver using our own drivers. We'll let you know when we send your items, and you may get a text or email on the day your parcel is due.

What happens if I'm not at home?

We can deliver to your workplace, a carer or a neighbour, or you can choose a safe place for us to leave your items. If nobody is in, a card will usually be left so you can arrange free redelivery.

Returning medicines, changes and feedback

What should I do with medicines I no longer need?

Please don't put them in the bin, down the sink or down the toilet. Give them to our driver when we deliver, if your delivery comes from one of our own drivers, or take them to any local pharmacy. You can also call us for help. More about returning medicines.

Can I go back to my old pharmacy?

Yes, at any time. You can change your nominated pharmacy in the NHS App, through your GP surgery or at any pharmacy. You can also call us and we'll help.

How do I update my address or phone number?

Call us on 020 3105 6252 or send us a message through our secure contact form.

How do I give feedback or make a complaint?

We'd like to hear from you, good or bad. See feedback and complaints for all the ways to get in touch, and what happens next.
